Levi told to take a Tripp March 12, 2009

bristol-palin-levi-bFirst, it was Brad and Jen. Then, it was Ryan and Reese. Now… you guessed it, Bristol and Levi.

Many sources (like this one) are reporting that the Biblical couple of Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston have broken God’s sacred covenant of marriage before even entering it. They “mutually” called it quits.

Here’s what I gather from my variety of sources:

  • This story is good enough for Entertainment Weekly. Do you know who Chet Culver’s daughter is? Do you even know who Chet Culver is? He’s the governor of the great state of Iowa. His daughter is Clare. America should know Clare Culver as well as it does Bristol Palin, no?
  • Bristol Palin allegedly called Levi’s family “white trash.” Burrrrn.
  • The Palins are also allegedly limiting Levi’s visiting rights to Tripp (the name of their child…not to be confused with the verb).

Now, this of course means that Ms. Bristol Palin is up for grabs. But one must not lose sight of the fact that upon marriage to her, you also acquire the in-laws…

Thank gosh she’s not VP… November 22, 2008

Sarah Palin…so she can do all these interviews!

I never wrote much about Sarah Palin this election cycle (save the Tina Fey postings). But maybe not winning the vice presidency was the best thing to happen to her.

According to this article from the AP, Palin has numerous offers — interviews, book deals, even hosting a TV show — from multiple companies. Must be nice.

Now, the Alaska governor isn’t allowed to have employment with compensation outside of the governor’s office, so is all this stuff considered employment?

God, I hope not.

One, I’d love to see her on Letterman. I think that would be excellent for all parties involved. Second, Elizabeth Hasselbeck needs some help on The View, and she’d make an excellent addition. And I’d love to read the propaganda that would be her autobiography (in my opinion, to be released a year and a half prior to her 2012 presidential bid).

But there are two sides to the story here. The second thing I considered when reading this article is the Anchorage reporter for the Associated Press. My gosh, this person must be living on cloud nine by now.

At first, what happened in Alaska? And now, they have a pseudo-celebrity garnering international attention living in a state of 500,000! And this reporter, who once covered snowfall (I made that up), now gets to cover it all.

Maybe Alaska isn’t all that far-fetched for that first job…

Yes.

CBS3 compiled a list of celebrities known to lean toward the right. It’s an entertaining look since 98.3 perecent of celebrities have Democratic tendencies.

Some surprising names on the list for me: Kelsey Grammer, Bruce Willis and Mike Ditka.

On a side note — the YouTube link above is from CBS. Note the advertising — as of Oct. 12 — next to the video… And in case it changes, look at the screenshot below…

As the Associated Press reports, it’s difficult to tell who the real vice presidential candidate is. If it were Tina Fey, McCain would have my vote — in a heartbeat.

The latest SNL skit is double the length of the original and just as funny. All roles are played perfectly. Worth the 11 minutes.

I was shocked that I only heard at nearly 6 p.m. tonight that Tina Fey reprised her role as Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. I like the touch of Katie Couric, as well, portrayed by a very pregnant (and former Hillary Clinton) Amy Poehler. It doesn’t get better than those two together.

Therefore, I bring you this clip.

It’s not as great as the original, but still worth a bunch of chuckles. All hail Tina Fey.

Here is the full video of the Sarah Palin skit on Saturday Night Live, which has been yanked on YouTube. However, thanks to the wonder that is hulu.com, I bring it to you once again.

I seriously can’t stop watching this. It never gets old.

Will the real Sarah Palin please stand up?

A cnn.com video says that an anchor in Bangor, Maine (pictured right) has been receiving hate mail and nasty phone calls just because she resembles John McCain’s running mate.

Cindy Michaels of WVII says she doesn’t think she looks like Palin — “I think I look like me.”

And now, just because I have to, here’s the real Sarah Palin…
