Google made a mistake! November 19, 2008

Believe it or not, Google is not infallible.

I was searching the name of a murder suspect from Glen Mills and decided to Google Map his address. I was trying to find out how close he was to Garnet Valley High School, and instead I found Foulk Road, a popular arterial in Bethel Township.

You may notice, Google needs some spell check. And should the image be too small, take my word for it.

What’s worse — the correct spelling of the name is right next to the incorrect.

I’m just glad I could find something wrong with Google.

I was honored to be the keynote speaker at the Garnet Valley High School induction of the Quill & Scroll International Journalism Honor Society.

As a former editor of the Jaguar Journal, it was a great experience to return and see all of the talented writers.  The newspaper adviser, Heather Arters, gave me a very thoughtful introduction.  Editor in chief and future Temple student Wajeeha Choudhary did a great job organizing the event.

Click here to view my speech (I diverted a few times, but these blocks of paragraphs guided me along).
