Turns out that chris-stover.com has never been hotter. I am greatly appreciative.

I’ve decided to pick out some search engine terms people have used to find this humble Web site. Some are humorous. Some are thought-provoking. Others are just plain pointless.

vince dementri
We’re all obsessed with what’s going to happen next with our Philadelphia anchorman. It’s only customary after the soap opera we’ve been put through with CBS3. NBC10 has still made no announcement about DeMentri, despite his not being on the air this week, as he has been scheduled to be. Hmm…

vince dementri should be fired
So I used some of the above words in another post, but not in that order. Don’t infer anything.

“chris stover” septa
This one scares me. Someone knows I intern at SEPTA. Many people do. But why would they search my name and SEPTA? Perhaps to see if I’ve written anything about them for TTN? Perhaps to see if I’ve already achieved a full-time position?

philly gossip
Not to steal anything from Dan Gross, but when “philly gossip” is typed into Google, this blog comes up eighth. Granted, most of my gossip (but not all) comes courtesy of Mr. Gross, but No. 8 isn’t that bad at all.

chris stover + print journalist
Maybe someone doesn’t like my video pieces for The Temple News, so they’re only looking for the written word. Pity. But, they’ll have to deal. After all, I’m a broadcast journalist in a newspaper world.

“zaleski” septa
I assume this is in reference to TTN’s fantastic former Temple Living editor Leigh Zaleski, who can be found here. This makes me reconsider searching my name and SEPTA — maybe someone really was looking for articles. But…for what?

15th and norris street shootings
From that fateful day LeAnne and I covered the shooting. May 12, 2008. Midnight to 3 a.m. What fun. (Though, I may not have too much room to talk. She was at the scene. I was not. But I wrote and made phone calls. That counts for something.)

chase utley boo
That’s all it takes to find Mr. Utley’s flub. Enjoy a video of it below. Honestly, the first time, I thought he said “Thank you.”

christine stover new york
Don’t know her. No relation. But if you’re reading this, let’s become blog friends.

6abc.com
Apparently, somewhere, when googling 6abc.com, my site comes up. Again, I’m flattered to be compared with such iconic Philadelphia media. It must be all those links I put to these sites.

whats the beef about what chase utley said
Whoever you are, I agree with you. See above. He did say “Thank You.” I know it.

cost of a single stamp
I’m so glad I can help American society by providing them with useless yet mutually beneficial information that can help them send a letter to a loved one.

Are one of these searches thanks to you? If so, tell me what you’re looking for. I’d be more than happy to do my research and find out the answers to your undying questions.

Or, at least make them up. We’ll talk.

Duh.

The announcer introduced Chase Utley to a mostly New York audience at Yankee Stadium last night. Mets and Yankees fans dominated, as expected. But the Mets, especially, have a beef with Philly. You get what you give, I suppose.

After receiving some choice “Boos” from the audience, Utley returned some other choice words — “Boo? [Bleep] off.”

Ed. Note: Use your imagination. This is a professional blogging platform, showcasing the level of journalism the New York Times strives to meet.

He’s apologized, saying he was just joking with his pal Dan Uggla, but as many reporters have included in their stories, he’s not the first to utter that to a Mets fan. He just said it in front of a packed house and a television camera that played it for millions nationwide.

The scene itself was very entertaining, as Utley responded in his very nonchalant, laid-back way. I don’t blame him.

I blame ESPN. Mics on players and no delay? C’mon, are we as careless as Philadelphia news anchors?

It seems the Phillies have plagiarized off my column. That’s right. As in the picture above, the Phillies stole the soon-to-be trademarked Cut to the Chase name for promoting second baseman Chase Utley’s All-Star lead.

OK, so it’s not trademarked. And the Phillies didn’t plagiarize. But I’m on a plagiarizing fix these days.

Regardless, I’m flattered that the Phillies have chosen to use the name of a prestigious, thoughtful column to advertise their truly unstoppable second baseman.

Next thing I know, Wheel of Fortune will be stealing the name of this blog post for a Before & After puzzle.
