I [wish I] got it. (I got it.) I got it.
According to the CNN, a New Jersey man is selling his phone number — which just so happens to be 867-5309 — on eBay. He’s hoping to make $40,000.
The lucky SOB got the number for free a few years ago. If Tommy Tutone were dead, they’d be rolling in their graves.
The article also mentions a Philadelphia guy who happens to have the same number…
A Philadelphia-area resident who holds the toll-free versions — both 800 and 888 — said he values his numbers in the millions.
Jeffrey Steinberg said his best offer so far, rejected several years ago, was for $1 million from a national weight-loss company.
I wonder which one…
I think having that number worth so much in the world of pop culture would be worth the hassle of getting the curious calls. Don’t you?

Can’t believe the way the economy is that people are bidding on a phone number!! Life goes on for some. There are many families that could use some help financially but not everyone has their priorities right! If you have that kind of money, please help your neighbor, friend or family first. Think about it.
Very good point. Really makes you think about how valuable seemingly invaluable (pop culture) objects are.
[...] As I reported just yesterday, the number made famous by Tommy Tutone is up on eBay. You could be Jenny, if you want. [...]
